Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life-Force-Energy”. Due to the lack of documented evidence, the origin has been the subject of lot of conjecture, but it is believed to have begun in Tibet several thousand years ago. The traditional story of Reiki begins in the late 1800’s by Dr. Usui, when he rediscovered the ancient sounds and symbols, which are the cornerstone of the “Universal Life Force Energy”.

Animal Accupressure

Because our animals live close to us, they often take on our worries, anxieties and physical problems. This can cause disease within their bodies, which can lead to emotional or behavior problems as well as other illnesses.

Reiki is the act of “laying on of hands” and is gentle and non-invasive. It heals the body, mind and spirit by channeling energy. The Japanese use the term Ki, (pronounced “chee”) for energy. Ki is the bio-magnetic energy of the aura and all living things radiate it.

Your animal will receive gentle and loving care. Our focus is to assist your animal to achieve or maintain a natural healthy state. Reiki is also an excellent way to facilitate the animal’s transition to the other side.

Natural Animal Wellness continues with the traditional forces of nature to channel the gentle and non-invasive healing energy used to calm and heal your pet. Energy is channeled and your animal participates by subconsciously deciding how much energy to take for their highest good.

Here are just a few Reiki benefits:

  • Deep relaxation
  • Destroys energy blockages
  • Detoxifies the system
  • Reduces side effects from surgery and medications
  • Reduces the effects of trauma
  • Speeds recovery
  • Supports emotional and behavioral issues
  • Geriatric conditions

Sessions are provided in your home, stable, event, or any environment where your animal is most relaxed and receptive. Some animals enjoy “hands on” while others prefer to stay several feet away. Dogs are more apt to get up and walk around or get a drink of water during a session. You may see signs of “releases” during or after the session, as a sneeze, yawn, sigh or get up to shake.

Reiki is a non-medical therapy and complements other holistic and traditional therapies. It is not a substitute for regular veterinary care. Natural Animal Wellness is not a veterinary practice and therefore does not diagnose medical issues, offer medical advice, prescribe drugs or perform surgery.
